On the fence. I think it is pretty much a coin flip.

The Ceitica need to build around Al Horford.

Boston ran out of juice. They need a true PG who can facilitate, break down the defense, and make life a little easier for Brown and Tatum. It puts Smart back on the bench where he really needs to be. They need one more scorer off the bench as well.

Celtics will learn from this and use it as motivation for next year when they lose to the bulls in the playoffs on their way to title #7.

The thing I got out of these finals was the absolute death of the big man. So many times last night, Curry would switch onto Horford in the post and Horford would pass out of it. You have an 8 inch, 40lb advantage 5 feet from the hoop and you pass out? That's crazy to me.

Everyone does it too. Draymond did similar things all series. It just makes zero sense to me.

The Celtics jumped out to that 1st quarter lead by switching to Curry and backing him down in the paint (mostly Smart).....and then they just stopped.

As good as Udoka has been, he fumbled a few strategies this series.

Actually, this has been going on for several years already... even before TDK boycotted the sport 3 years ago.

The NBA today has been so simplified / dumbed-down, relative to past eras: overall, the only thing you need today is to be able to hit a 3-pointer 35% of the time: Defense? Naaa... only once in a while. Post play... rare. Mid-range... even rarer. Set Offensive plays/systems... nope, just sprint down the court and chuck away long bombs, or get the Offense set and pass the ball around the perimeter until one of the shooters gets open. Fast-breaks... nope, can't take that 2-5 foot super-efficient shot because you gotta stop and wait for the shooter/s to get in position so you can pass it to the guy 25 feet away instead.

*The most skilled, talented, advanced era in NBA history* ...my ass.

Thank God I boycotted the sport when I did... not much to see here.

Nothing is more dumbed down than watching a big man back down his defender for 16 seconds to hit a hook shot 50-55% of the time…

Tatum, at 24 years of age, has the same number of Finals games won as "all-time great" Charles Barkley.

His window won’t ever be as big as it was 2 weeks ago. It’s all downhill from here. Not much of a slope, but it is declining.

It’s nothing to be ashamed of, there’s nothing wrong with having a top 30-40 NBA career.

Five years ago

Lakers fans: Lonzo > Tatum

Four years ago

Lakers fans: Kuzma > Tatum

Three years ago

AG Board: Tatum has regressed....he'll never amount to anything

Earlier this year

Lakers fans: LOL the Celtics should blow it up

Today

LTBH: Tatum will be top 30-40 all-time

With all due respect, nobody has called for KKK over Tatum.

as far as blow it up, nope.
Said they need a veteran leader (not Horford) to take the crunch-time pressure off of the yutes.
and they do.
