These threads always make me feel self conscious about my recent TV purchase for my basement.

Kub just keeps getting btfo the last few days. Hope he recovers from this
When 3 people are sitting on the couch, the one in the middle has to lean out to see past the person's head to the their right and the one sitting on the end has to lean out even further to see past the one in the middle's head??

Having to keep your head turned 'while leaning out' like that to watch can't be comfortable whatsoever.

When getting ready to go up the steps, looks like you could touch the TV with your left hand.

Is that not the TV to the left of the couch in the original photo I quoted??

Back of the couch overlaps/runs a foot past the wall ending behind it...

That room needs more couches. And rugs. Definitely more rugs. And some Windex. Elements coffee table (circa 1998) looks dirty.

Thanks for all of the help?

Going to look at that LG in person tomorrow for picture quality. I'll buy it if it looks good. Undecided on the Sony if I do buy the LG. I could return it or just box it up and keep it for a room when Mrs. swamp and I buy a house next year.

Keeping two tvs — and only using one — seems like overkill. And you have a kid, right?

Why bother with the extra tv. Use the limited space for more rattles or nuks or something. Besides, technology is moving so quickly, you might want more bells and whistles for a better price next year. Return the Sony.

No kids now and there will be none ever. Plenty of space in the apt for Mrs swamp, Gator, and myself as is to where I could use both here, but I get your point- it is overkill. I agree with you about returning the Sony if the LG is worth buying.
