From what I've noticed it only does it when your about to catch a Pokemon. Otherwise it shows the navigation with your character walking around.LeBronMonsterDunk wrote:This probably a stupid question but how do I get the camera to come up to look around? I did it the first time when it shows you how but I don't see anything that lets me do it now.

Re: My Pokemon Go lineup so far
I hate this game. It let me get catch a few Pokemon and get addicted and as soon as I got to level 4 it shutdown on me and now I can't get past the server issue page. Tried reinstalling, turning off and on data, restarting and shutting down my phone to no avail

Taking a break from the board. Please reference my last post for more details if you are interested.

Does anybody know the cheat code to get mew?
Re: My Pokemon Go lineup so far
Yep they have major server problems, I think the popularity of this game is off the charts at least for the first day

Yea. My servers are on and off and it's having problems with my location despite other apps not having the same issue.Kingcarl24 wrote:It's down for me now too. They'll get it fixed within the next couple of days.
They didn't expect the amount of nerds that would play this.

I'm having a hard time following the map to track down Pokemon. Today Electabuzz and Machoke both showed as near and it seemed like I couldn't get closer to them.
I caught another Charmander and Rhyhorn earlier though, and evolved Pidgey and Zubat.

Mine is pretty simple. The track marks that show the distance of the Pokemon is accurate for me.Kobeunderbite wrote:I'm having a hard time following the map to track down Pokemon. Today Electabuzz and Machoke both showed as near and it seemed like I couldn't get closer to them.

Just got Bulbasaur and Poliwag doing that exact thing.

Mostly just guess work but if the footprints go from 3 to 2 I know I'm getting closer, but if after it goes back to 3 I know I made a wrong turn somewhere. Trial and error.Kobeunderbite wrote:What about direction wise, how do you pursue?PhutureDynasty wrote:Mine is pretty simple. Re: Pokemon GO AngerGeneral Community Thread
I have a question: do the same Pokemon generate randomly for everyone? Meaning.... if a Pokemon appears on your map or whatever, does that same Pokemon appear on another person's map that's nearby as well? Or are the generated Pokemon different for every player?
Only reason I ask is cuz I see lots of fist fights breaking out between peeps over this. If I were playing and stumbled upon some rare Pokemon, and some other nerd is there at the same time going after that same Pokemon, then I'm not leaving till I get that Pokemon, ya feels me?

My friend and I were messing with that last night. Seems if it's there for one it's there for both and if I grab it it doesn't take his. Maybe I'm wrong but that was what we experienced.LakersNeedShaq wrote:I have a question: do the same Pokemon generate randomly for everyone? This has been my experience as well. If it's there, it's there for both and both can get it.

I've walked for a long time and not seen the footprints reduced but I'm guessing you're right in that it's all about trial and error.PhutureDynasty wrote:Mostly just guess work but if the footprints go from 3 to 2 I know I'm getting closer, but if after it goes back to 3 I know I made a wrong turn somewhere.
