Finally got the app working and on my daily walk I stumbled upon some Pokemon. Suffice to say a super nerd fest ensued. Game is fun and slightly addicting.

So far I have a Squirtle, Rattata (the best of 3 I caught), Caterpie, Goldeen, Eevee, Weedle, and an Oddish.

Lucky you. I at one time had a Venonat, Machop, Evee, Caterpie, and Weedle and walked around so much but none appeared.

Use the incense* things that attract them to your location. That's how I got some of mine.

so what the hell can we do other than catch pokemon. how do i battle these fuckers... i've been trying to find the option for it for 10 minutes

You have to get level 5 and then currently I think you can only fight at gyms.

Only 10 of his candies away from evolving that thang.

Poor guy was probably trying to use your toilet and you ruthlessly trapped him in a Pokeball.

Restarted my phone a bunch. Also disconnected from my data and reconnected a few times. Not sure that is what fixed it and I could have gotten lucky but I'm on now.

Also, try re-installing it if you don't have anything on your character you care about. It'll probably make you restart.

This probably a stupid question but how do I get the camera to come up to look around? I did it the first time when it shows you how but I don't see anything that lets me do it now.

I just downloaded it. Pretty fun. My kids are going to LOVE it. There's a gym right outside my office so it looks like I will be dominating that soon.
