Someone explain this Star Wars screen shot for me

I was watching Return of the Jedi the other day and noticed something I've never really noticed before. During the battle on Endor, there's a scene where the Rebels seem defeated. They are all outside with their hands on their heads. In the group, there is one guy, dressed as a Storm Trooper with his helmet off and his hands on his head. During the entire battle, when would he have time to put on a Storm Trooper outfit? Why would he put on a Storm Trooper outfit? How did the other Storm Troopers finally catch him? How long did it take him to grow that mustache?

So many questions, so little time.


(I probably should have just PM'd Arty. I'm sure he knows the exact reason and has probably known it before anyone else has. The guy is pretty amazing.)

He's wearing a biker scout uniform. The Rebels had probably killed/captured its owner well before the battle. Remember Luke and Leia had that chase earlier and took out several.

Hmmmmm good point. They killed several of the biker scouts. I wonder why more didn't dress up. Or maybe they did and haven't been caught yet...

If you think of all the Storm Troopers that were beaten over the helmet by a cute teddy bear and a rock, there should have been more than enough outfits for people to step into.

If you think of all the Storm Troopers that were beaten over the helmet by a cute teddy bear and a rock, there should have been more than enough outfits for people to step into.

Yeah, a bit tougher to do that in the middle of the battle though.

The introduction of the Ewoks in RTOJ was when Lucas really started screwing up Star Wars. They where originally supposed to be Wookies being used as slave labour to build the new Death Star but he changed them to Ewoks to appeal more to kids and sell more toys. I guess it worked for him.
