This is actually awful for the Bears if they want any shot at making the playoffs this year

Not really... a Packer loss tonight wouldn't change the fact that the Bears would still need to leap-frog 4 teams to get that last WC spot.

But regardless, it was still an EPIC choke-job by Detroit. :pimp:

But it changes the fact that the team they are chasing is now 8-4 instead of 7-5. I was all for a 1-15 season with the number 1 pick but they decided to go all underdog and started winning games so now they better win out because there's nothing worse and pointless than being a 7-9 or 8-8 football team.

They're not 'just' chasing the Packers... they're chasing GB, Seattle, Atlanta, TB and the Giants/Skins, with the Rams, Eagles and Saints right on the Bears' heels. So regardless of what the Packers did tonight the Bears still have their work cut out to reach the playoffs.

If they win-out then not only will they make the playoffs, but they'll stand as good a chance as any team to reach the SB... of course I doN't expect them to win-out.

Then again, "Big Game" Jay is playing for a contract this year so you never know. :L

I agree and understand they are trying to leap frog over a few teams but regardless you're ultimate goal is to overtake the team in the spot you want to be in and that is the Fudge packers right now, with fucking Viking looking like the Division winners right meow.

But now it looks like it's the seahawks they will need to compete with. Definitely doable
