How do you measure defense? By how many ppg they give up or total defense?
Both.
Well not to burst your bubble but the Patriots have the best defense in the league giving up 18.2ppg. Panthers are 5th at 18.6. Patriots have the 2nd ranked offense in the league at 32.3. Panthers are 3rd at 30.2.

No, Brady, Peterson and Palmer are all ahead of him.

Do people on here really think or find out the truth before they write things?

Wow!!! What a way to put your foot in your mouth.

I'm aware that the Patriots have a good defense. However, being very marginally better at giving up slightly less points, doesn't account for the huge difference in yards allowed. The Patriots defense is much easier to move the ball on than the Panthers defense.

The Patriots have Belichick who was the DC of the 86 and 90 Giants title teams. He will find a way to always put his defense in a way to help them win games and he doesn't have no LT type of player on the Pats like he did with the Giants. Imagine if he did though.

They give up 28 yards a game more than the panthers

Good work. Most title contenders are more than likely a top defensive team.

As an average, that is significant.

Significant enough to call it a "huge difference" in yards allowed and for the Panthers to be called "by far the best defense in the NFL" despite not leading the league in points for or yards against?
