Why is the concept of God so hard to believe?

well ok, i get what your saying. No one wants to listen to a guy constantly rant about the Bible per se. But I don't. Maybe once or twice a month I'll have a big production, but it's not an every day thing.

And I'm saddened that you read the Bible with such a closed mind. Perhaps you read it with preconceived notions? It's fiction. Not real. That would dampen your experience.

You don't NEED the Bible to be saved. You need to believe in Jesus and accept what Him dying on the cross means for you, though.

I read the Bible in my teenage years...as a believer. My parents both believe in God. My Father died believing in God. I made my own mind up over the years. The stories/scriptures/timeline/dogma........is just too unbelievable to me. There is no closed mind here. I give everything a fair shake, but I can't place my faith in that book. It simply doesn't make sense and the only thing that would possibly lead me back to it is the FEAR that I'll be punished if I don't.

If you use it, you'll discover there is no God. Your ability to use reason and logic is actually an evolutionary trait that humans used to survive and eventually dominate this planet.

I suggest you look into a 19th century book titled "Flatland"
