Pau Gasol vents after latest defeat

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Forget all the storied history. Reality is starting to set in with the Los Angeles Lakers about just how far the mighty have fallen.

"We are who we are right now," Pau Gasol said after the Lakers' 114-105 loss to the Orlando Magic on Friday. "Some nights are better than others but, bottom line, when you lose against the worst teams in the league, you got to ask yourself why and, kind of, what does that make you?"

The Lakers (16-28) have the second-worst record in the Western Conference, ahead of only the Utah Jazz (14-29). Their current slide includes three straight losses and defeats in 15 of their last 18 games.

The Lakers have lost to the likes of Utah, Philadelphia (14-29), Milwaukee (8-34) and the Magic, who had lost 12 of their previous 13 games entering Friday.

Never was a Pau guy, but I feel bad for him. Shitty situation that he'll surely get the blame for, and he knows he's not getting resigned. So he's pretty much fucked in free agency.

Are you guys working on The Great Debate or will you let the opportunity to make internet history pass you by?

Lakers should have traded him and put him out of his misery 2 years ago. Pretty f'd up situation to expect a guy to produce night in and night out when his name is dangled non-stop in on-again/off-again trade rumors.
PoLIEtics is for gay fags.

I will help judge it. I'm trying to convince griffmoney to come over at the minute, he seems like he's just about done with the NBA though.

I wonder how he's react if ripper responded in his threads on ISH?

Pau is scoring and rebounding at a decent clip. However, even on a slumping team the scoring and rebounding has to come from somewhere.

They did trade him. Commish Stern vetoed the trade and now both mentally weak Lamar and Cotton Candy Gasol will never be the same

Nope, his current coach doesn't know how to use him properly. That and there presently is no credible threat of a trade
