You've got a week dude. Keep it close to home, within a few time zones. Going around the world for a week is just plain dumb. You're just getting over jet lag and it's time to come home. Make it a beach type holiday that isn't a bajillion miles away.

Actually. Yeah. You're right.

A week is a pretty short trip for those destinations. Not worth it.

Then it's "better in the Bahamas", for him and her. ;)

Drinking a German beer with a Cuban cigar
In the middle of Paris with a Dominican broad
Great head on her shoulders, she probably studied abroad
She transferred to Harvard from King's College in March
She says that I'm her favorite, cause she admires the art
Of Michelangelo with the flow, Picasso with the bars
She's well put together like a piece by Gershwin
Renaissance style, tonight is picture perfect
So smile, and pack your bags real good, baby
Cause you'll be gone for a while

Shanghai is a great city. Lots of museums, shopping, dining and entertainment options here. It is not old by any stretch, so don't expect to be seeing much history in terms of 'ruins' and the like. You could easily take day trips out to Suzhou and Hangzhou to see more old China type stuff. You might be stretched for time, but taking a high speed train from here up to Beijing or Xi'an for a couple of days is doable to see touristy attractions. When would you be looking to take the trip?

i think this is the truth. Im thinking a week long cruise.

EDIT: scratch that. A week is plenty and jet lag is for pussies

It's also common sense and logistics. If you are going for a week, do you really want to spend one day getting there and one day getting back? I mean, it's a free country, but you go to Asia for a one week trip, and I question whether your iq reaches room temperature.

appreciate the offer, but we wanna see ancient ruins or exotic beaches or something along those lines. And basically get out the country for a while.

There is plenty ruined in Covina :)
