Its tough to make it through the Western Conference (which is of much better quality top to bottom than the east) if the 2nd best player on your team is either out or not playing up to par because of injuries

Durant doesn't have the luxury of having the type of role players or 3 other future HOF'ers at his disposal breezing through a conference when horrible losing records give you a top 3-4 seed

-Has a nearly identical ORTG as Durant
-Has a considerably lower USG%
-Has a higher AST%

The only aspect of the game Durant is better at basketball than Lebron is scoring, yet he does it at a lower efficiency and with more possessions. I don't know what offensive stats you're looking at that have Durant better by a considerable margin.

I could maybe see where one could make an argument that Durant is better but I haven't seen one yet.

While I agree the gap is big between Lebron and durant, Im not sure there is too much of a gap between Durant and davis. Ill admit to being a huge davis homer though, I absolutely love his game
