Durant shot 9 for 13 on shots beyond 12 feet. That's the type of range LeLayup doesn't have if he were to go for 50-60 points, while trying to maintain his 58.5 FG%.

If we're gonna start awarding MVPs for stringing together a few high scoring games during the middle of the season, then someone needs to mail Kobe a few belated trophies.

Kobe doesn't deserve any trophies.Havlicekstealsit wrote:If we're gonna start awarding MVPs for stringing together a few high scoring games during the middle of the season, then someone needs to mail Kobe a few belated trophies.
Some people are just starving to see anybody other than Lebron win an MVP. It's been a tough 2 years for them.

Bronze only won the past couple years because D-Rose was injured.
Re: The MVP race is OVER...crown KD.
I wonder what kind of passive aggressive statement Lebron will release about this.

Durant is beasting right now. LeBron will be super jealous and say something to try and draw attention back to himself in the coming days.

Kobe's scoring was off the charts in some of those years. He scored 50 in 4 straight games and 60 in two of those games.Havlicekstealsit wrote:If we're gonna start awarding MVPs for stringing together a few high scoring games during the middle of the season, then someone needs to mail Kobe a few belated trophies.
Problem is, and reason why he didn't get MVPs, Kobe's team was total lottery trash in all of those years. And he was putting up 40 shots a game.
Meanwhile Durant's team is on pace for 60 wins even without Westbrook.

Durant as MVP would be a fine choice.
1) Durant
2) Lebron
3) LA
4) Paul George
5) Blake Griffin

Don't sleep on Derrick Rose. I don't see how the voters can overlook the way he absolutely dominated in the short time he played this season.

I guaranteed Durant was winning MVP this summer.
- Better stats with Westbrook out
- Miami coasting more (yes, I called that)
- Voters looking for a change

I think Durant is the clear cut winner this year. He's kind of solidified it too with these monster games lately. The league is dying to crown someone besides Lebron this year so there is no doubt that Durant will win his first and good for him. He has been beasting lately.
Another bold prediction, I don't think Miami beats the Pacers this year. I just feel like it's the Pacer's time and all this coasting will catch up to the Heat in the playoffs.

Barring injuries, they have a chance. The question is really Wade. Remember, he looked in rough shape (knee) last year for stretches of the playoffs. Is playing only 3/4 of the games enough to keep him closer to full strength?
Or, will they just hope he gets his drug tests out of the way... and then he'll have free reign to take whatever he wants during the playoffs? (Yes. After 2(?) random tests, players are guaranteed not to be tested again for performance-enhancing or other drugs.)
