He would put order to that mess and dictate the flow and who gets what when as far as shots.
I dont know about money or whatever but thats a solid team with Rondo at the wheel...also defensive prowess and the ability to shoot close range
Knicks would be solid contenders if they got Rondo

The ability to shot at close range is very underrated when talking about PGs.

They'd have to do a sign & trade to afford him, and along with the uncertainly of Melo and/or Amare re-upping, is too much of a risk. Not to mention Boston would want better than what the Knicks would offer. Celtics are trying to rebuild, not absorb another team's garbage pile. We already got enough of those guys in the Brooklyn deals.

My hypothesis is based on the knicks keeping melo chandler smith shumphert and other relevent players and adding rondoHavlicekstealsit wrote:They'd have to do a sign & trade to afford him, and along with the uncertainly of Melo and/or Amare re-upping, is too much of a risk. The ability to get that close for a pg is a bonus.ripper76 wrote:The ability to shot at close range is very underrated when talking about PGs.
He also can make mid range shots

I don't think so.

No one is giving up young players this year or draft picks. There is literally no deal to be had for Boston so they have to keep him. On the other hand keeping him might be bad for the rest of the team because he is known as a malcontent. When they stay losing NEXT year he will be pissed. The young guys are impressionable; does Danny want Rondo poisoning the water?
Re: Knicks would be solid contenders if they got Rondo
Why would they want him. He is terrible. Everyone knew when he lost his athleticism he would be horrible. That is why the Suns jettisoned him.elartman1973 wrote:My hypothesis is based on the knicks keeping melo chandler smith shumphert and other relevent players and adding rondoHavlicekstealsit wrote:They'd have to do a sign & trade to afford him, and along with the uncertainly of Melo and/or Amare re-upping, is too much of a risk.
