Less and less people will have watched MJ play as the years go on. Meanwhile LeGOAT has played for 22 seasons and counting, meaning more witnesses to his greatness.

Maybe JorDONE shouldn’t have quit multiple times like a mentally weak faggot lol

I disagree with his logic honestly.

You can't discredit something simply because you haven't seen it.

That means your knowledge on the topic is lacking, thus your opinion holds less value.

If he does his research he could still come to the same conclusion, but at least he knows more about the history of the game to hold a stronger opinion.

My 2 cents at least.

Greatest of all time. By all time, I mean the last 25 years. Actually probably just the last 15 years.

Greatest of all time over the last 15 years.

Everybody is playing 20 plus years now. Isn’t Chris Paul jacking up a double double in points and assists all while being 45 years old

Kind of proves the point I made in another thread earlier today.

Many people want to believe they are witnessing greatness. That leads them to be more dismissive of the accomplishments of players in prior eras and exaggerate what they are currently seeing. It happens in every sport to some extent.

It will definitely happen to MJ. It has started and will only gather momentum with the passage of time. Eventually, it will happen to LeBron and the next shiny thing after him that gets the public's attention. Human nature.

Another stupid take from Attie. LeBron is the only player left from the 2003 draft and CP3 is the only one left from the 2005 draft. Lowry and PJ Tucker are the only ones left from 2006. From 2007, there's Durant left playing at a high level with 4 guys just mostly just hanging on.

CP3 is 39 and has had a remarkable career, but he's much further away from his peak production than LeBron. What LeBron has done in terms of maintaining production at this stage of his career is unprecedented in the NBA.

People ARE witnessing greatness, though. If Lebron retired today we’d still be witnessing Jokic put up historic numbers, and to a lesser extent Luka. My problem has always been with trying to proclaim someone the “GOAT”. The last two letters of that acronym make it an impossibility. In order for someone to be the greatest of “all time” the sport would need to end. And I think people look at it like “forever and ever” but that’s beyond ridiculous. I know I’m just splitting hairs here though… but it has always bothered me.

So is LeBron your personal GTTPIT?
