Dude was CLEARLY injured, evidenced by the leg brace he was wearing which left him with zero movement/mobility from the opening bell... there is simply no chance a healthy Mike Tyson just stands in the center of the ring the entire fight (showing zero trademark aggressiveness) if he was 100% healthy.
Oh sure, getting into the later rounds you could make the case that he was gassed (and even TDK acknowledged beforehand that stamina would be an issue if the fight went deep), but again, Mike came out in Round 1 and from the outset he looked like LeBron James looks on the Defensive end of a basketball court... ie; a tree stump.
That was in no way, shape or form a "healthy" Mike Tyson, who looked closer to 88 than 58 because of an obvious knee injury severely restricting his movement.
Jake Paul showed nothing as a fighter. A 100% healthy Mike Tyson knocks him out in the first or second round, no question.
Mike should demand a rematch.
EDIT: Even Evander Holyfield agrees with TDK:

You should honestly just not discuss boxing at all. It’d save me the headache of having to read your excuses and then write out counter points. You can’t make dumbass claims like “a 100% healthy Mike Tyson knocks him out in the first or second round, no question” without any kind of proof. That’s up there with your laughable claims about the Bulls winning the title if Rose was healthy. Quit making excuses… it’s something that women and weak men do. Instead face the facts… you fell for the same edited clips of him training that every other fanboy casual fell for. ANYONE can splice together training footage and look like a badass. Mike was shot in 2005… he wasn’t going to magically turn back the clock nearly 20 years later. Not to mention all the abuse he put himself through with his drug and alcohol use.
The sad thing is that Jake went super easy on Mike, too. He could’ve absolutely pulverized Mike if he wanted to. But instead he took his foot off the gas. I’m not a Jake Paul fan but it was nice of him to get Mike a great payday and a tiny bit of glory (at least in the buildup). There will not be a rematch though lol
And who the fuck cares what Holyfield thinks?
Evander also made an ill fated comeback at 58 strangely enough… against a non boxer/former MMA guy named Vitor Belfort (who was 44). How’d that go again? Oh that’s right… the shitty but younger boxer Belfort absolutely steamrolled Holyfield in round 1, because unlike Jake Paul he didn’t have the decency to go easy on the old man. Holyfield was more skilled than Vitor by a LOT… shit, he was more skilled than Tyson in their primes. Didn’t make a lick of difference because 58 is 58.

More excuses. Be a man for once in your life and just admit you were wrong, dude. Appealing to the authority of a punch drunk old man means jack shit to me. You thought Tyson “still had it” because you fanboy the 90s. But athletes from the 90s DO NOT “still got it”. You could put MJ against the worst G-League player in a 1v1 matchup and he’d get schooled. It’s just how it is… over time we decline, and as the years increase the falloff becomes more and more pronounced. Tyson was a badass in the 90s, MJ was a badass in the 90s, you think you were a badass in the 90s… but in 2024 none of that matters.thedangerouskitchen wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 10:52 am LNS thinks he knows more about Boxing than Evander Holyfield.

Tyson was clearly injured... LNS is in complete denial of the truth, as only a blind man would suggest that Mike (even at 58) lost 100% of his legs 30 seconds into the fight, which is exactly what happened.
He came out aggressive for the first 30 seconds-ish, landed a few great shots (prompting your boy Jake to start running like a little girl), then just became a complete statue in the center of the ring... confirming that the injury (Holyfield alludes to) restricted him the rest of the way.
Deal with it, bub.

TDK, do you think Mike Tyson will improve with the passage of time?
Re: Ok I just watched the fight last night, and well... Mike Tyson refused to admit it afterwards, but TDK will
Mike is NEVER going to be 100% healthy you slobbering idiot. There’s an old saying that goes “the first thing to go is a boxer’s legs” to describe declining fighters. And that’s a saying about fighters in their late 30s/early 40s. A dude that’s pushing 60 shouldn’t even have been in the ring. And if your big GOTCHA argument is that Tyson looked good for a whopping 30 seconds then that proves my point entirely.thedangerouskitchen wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 11:08 am Tyson was clearly injured... Years back Bernard Hopkins at 49 tried to take Sergey Kovalev’s light heavyweight title, and in the lead up to the fight Kovalev’s trainer at the time John David Jackson said “The weakness for Bernard is that he's an old man, and you have to treat an old man like an old man.” Hopkins forgot more about boxing than Tyson ever knew… and despite all his skills he was still beatdown for 12 rounds. And he was damn near 10 years younger than Mike at the time.
I get that your autism makes you do these weird mental gymnastics. For some reason just being a man and admitting you didn’t know wtf you were talking about really hurts your fragile ego, but it is what it is. You were wrong. You don’t know the fight game. At all.

Not physically, of course not... but after the first 30 seconds of the fight Tyson could (literally) barely move; even an average conditioned 58-year old man has more mobility than that, unless he's injured of course.Sudanese Sensation wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 11:21 am TDK, do you think Mike Tyson will improve with the passage of time?

Holyfield was 58 when he got demolished by amateur boxer Vitor Belfort. His mobility was also dogshit. What’s the excuse there? Was he injured too?thedangerouskitchen wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 11:39 amNot physically, of course not... but after the first 30 seconds of the fight Tyson could (literally) barely move; even an average conditioned 58-year old man has more mobility than that, unless he's injured of course.Sudanese Sensation wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 11:21 am TDK, do you think Mike Tyson will improve with the passage of time?

You're getting triggered with facts, meathead.. and the fact is, after the first 30 seconds Tyson could barely move. 58 is not 88, especially a 58 year old who has been an elite physical specimen his entire life, coming off 8 months of rigorous, intense training.
Tyson CLEARLY had an injured knee. Don't be a baby about it... just acknowledge the truth.

Tyson's mobility was completely gone after 30 seconds. Again, he's 58, not 88.

Bernard Hopkins got knocked out of the ring in his last fight when he was fifty years old by a can.

The fight was nearly canceled back in May because Mike had some nasty flare up with his ulcers.thedangerouskitchen wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 11:48 amYou're getting triggered with facts, meathead.. and the fact is, after the first 30 seconds Tyson could barely move. But yea… it’s because his knee was gimpy or something
Put on your big boy pants and admit you were wrong for thinking a fighter 25+ years past his prime was going to win a boxing match. You DO NOT know boxing. At all.

And no shit 58 isn’t 88… it’s also not 27. Imagine thinking a 58 year old man was gonna turn back the clock and beat someone 30+ years his junior. Don’t talk about my sport anymore.

Lol I should’ve just went the Bush route and trolled this old retard. tdk clearly can’t have a normal conversation because he’s incapable of acknowledging other points without making excuses. Here ya go tdk…
