I think (historical) support for DeSantis is fine, provided it wasn't Anti-Trump based and with the qualifier that you cooled down when you saw who he surrounded himself with and how he ran his campaign (he was terrible on both fronts running for the nomination).
I personally have him somewhere halfway between the usual cuckservative and textbook MAGA in my head.
We'll see though. Dominating a former swing state and helping push it strong red is already pretty good.
