I mean you’re not incorrect… it’s similar to how Curry led the way of the 3pt revolution. But that doesn’t mean what everyone ITT is saying: since then athletes have made MJ type moves common place.
You couldn't be more wrong if you tried, evidenced by the fact that Jordan's moves came with a TON of traffic around him, in an era where the Bigs actually defended the basket and were allowed to play very physical (unlike today's sissy soft NBA).

Face facts... Jordan ended your Showtime Lakers, and demolished the entire NBA in a manner than no other player has done (before or since).

Now get mad.

Players do daily what used to be a big deal in the 90s. Why would that upset me?

I repeat:

You couldn't be more wrong if you tried, evidenced by the fact that Jordan's moves came with a TON of traffic around him, in an era where the Bigs actually defended the basket and were allowed to play very physical... unlike today's sissy soft NBA where the defender can't touch you, the floor is more spread out than ever (ie; much more room for the ballhandler to operate), and all the Bigs are on the perimeter ie; zero rim defense).

Put another way, it's soooooooooooooooooooo much easier to make moves around the basket when there's no interior defense vs. when the paint is packed with defenders who are allowed to bump, grab, elbow and hold you.

This is Basketball 101 to anyone who has played the sport, sport.

There are LESS free throws called today… so if the refs are supposedly enforcing a stricter game then it’s not showing up at the charity stripe.

“…the floor is more spread out than ever” uhhh yea, no shit. Because players today are way more skilled.

Older dudes who are way past their best days and physically declining love to fondly remember how hard and tough things were in their days. Be better, bandwagon Bulls fan.

"Glory Days Syndrome" really should be a part of the next DSM whenever it comes out.

The psychology of Jordan Jockers and Boomer Blowhards is really interesting, albeit in a very sad way.

Yea of course the paint is going to be packed when no one in the league taller than 6' 8" can make a shot outside 10 feet.

The layup that Jordan switched hands with, no one jumped or challenged him at the rim, no one even stood still and vertical a la Roy Hibbert, it was an uncontested layup. Both of those ja plays were leaps and bounds more impressive

So chucking 40% of your shots from long-range and MISSING 65% of the time is a skill?

:laugh3:

A spread floor + no perimeter contact = soooooooo much easier for a player to get off a shot
A wide-open lane = sooooooooooo much easier for a slasher to get to the basket
Zero paint/rim Defense = sooooooooo much easier for guys like Morant to make fancy lay-ups
Soft Defense = the illusion of a more skilled Offense

These are irrefutable facts... now get madder.

Why are you getting your panties in a wad toward Jordan fans who are merely defending him in Hater threads like this, bush-league?

:noidea:

MJ is the GOAT. That's not something you should allow yourself to get triggered over.

Thank you for admitting that it's soooooooo much easier for guys like Morant and LeFraud to score in the paint today than it was for Jordan back in his day.

That's why I said the switch-hands lay-up doesn't even rank among Jordan's Top 25 moves... your buddies ITT are the ones hyping up the move. I also gave Morant props for his moves.

What's your point?
