Choketani was really killing it with that 2-20 World Series performance.

Ohtani was like the 10th best player on his own team, yet at the same time the GOAT according to about five or so people on this board.
Makes sense.
Remember that time Michael Jordan was outscored by Bill Wennington in the NBA Finals?

The MLB account on X made like 5,500 posts about Ohtani winning and about 6 combined for his teammates lol

Re: Glad we can finally put the Ohtani vs Judge argument to rest
Btw Ohtani is clearly not the same with his shoulder dislocated. He continued to play because it's the WS and he's more effective as a decoy and drawing walks than whoever his replacement would be. But it was obvious he was protecting himself. Judge on the other hand just flat out shat his pants.

He feels like the Kershaw of batters.

That dropped ball confirmed it is a mental issue for him, not just a poorly timed slump.

It sucks because I wanted that series to go further than 5 games. I don't like either team but I love playoff baseball.

Agreed. November baseball is great, it's a shame.
Yankees practically gave away two of these games, it should be 2-3 at worst for them right now. But often it's just the team that just executes and doesn't make massive boners in the field that ends up winning the series by holding serve.

Non Baseball savants understand that Ohtani’s impact in winning the World Series extends out far greater than his simple batting averaging
As the leadoff hitter he is in charge of setting the tone of the game and how the rest of the lineup goes. Even not getting a hit, starting the lineup out with getting him out is the most important thing leading to the starting pitcher off the bat giving it his all. This plus Ohtani’s ability to still work the count even if it results in an out leads the pitcher to starting to feel gassed which gives follow up hitters like Freeman more favorable and easier to hit pitches.
Freeman’s home runs can realistically be attributed and credited equally to Ohtani’s previous at bat.
Now let’s pivot to a leadership standpoint. Halfway through the series, Ohtani dislocated his shoulder. This would have caused any mere mortal to be sidelined the rest of the series. He could have been a bitch like Erin would have and sat but since, despite being Asian, he has a massive dong and powered through. This inspiring gesture showed that he was in it to win it which encourages and inspires the rest of the team to give their all. Think Willis Reed only greater.
Despite his overall numbers, the WS MVP being rewarded to him wouldn’t have been out of the question but I understand giving it to Freeman.
GOAThani 100% earned his championship.

The Dodgers plan on pursuing Soto in free agency. If they're successful that's the ultimate combo of season to off-season and could be RIP for the other teams.
I'm also curious if Ohtani wants to pitch next year or does he just want to stay as a batter only.
