The Yankees are a joke. I don't know why I had a temporary sanity lapse in believing in them but they are evidently simply the beneficiary of the weakest American League in living memory and do not belong in a World Series. Awful lineup and horribly constructed roster. I wish I could live like Brian Cashman and fail year after year with absolutely zero repercussions of any kind. It must be nice to have that kind of job security. The Yankees have not had any kind of aura at all since 2017 when they had the whole 'Baby Bombers' thing going. Juan Soto can't be stupid enough to stay.
