We have never in history seen any team in any sport hand out max contracts to scrubs like this just to lock in a mediocre core. It's like the Atlanta Braves, but at least the Braves have great players. How have the Magic given $100+ million dollar deal after $100+ million dollar deal to keep a team that got bounced by the Cavs in the first round together? What is the logic in this, how can they claim they are interested in competing for a title after this?

What the Magic do only works because they have autistic, obese fans like you lapping up their crap like a pig at the trough. The Magic are locking in a mediocre, middlingly competitive at best core with no hope of competing for a championship because they don't consider championships a realistic goal. They never sign any needle-mover free agents and never will, and yet you endlessly reference their cap space as if it will ever be filled by a star free agent (has never happened and never will). The Magic have won one playoff series in the past 14 years and just locked in a team that couldn't even conquer Cleveland in the first round.

There is no way they should be allowed to continue being an NBA team. They just spent close to $700 million over an offseason to lock in a team that couldn't get out of the first round. That's not a serious organization that cares at all about pursuing greatness. It's a team that knows it can continue to take advantage of the low IQ local fanbase along with ticket sales buffered by Orlando being a popular tourist destination. It is both literally and figuratively a mickey mouse organization.
