The first time these two clashed I thought it was a huge 'get' for Shmuley (who I was familiar with as Michael Jackson's rabbi and the author of "Kosher Sex") to get airtime next to Candace, who was/is a far bigger name and could elevate him by association.

It speaks far more to Candace's descent to obscurity, far removed from serious dialogue, than it does to any ascent on Shmuley's part, that this is happening yet again. Her spiral will be studied in history books. Milo described it well,

Watched it on 1.75 speed and I still feel like I wasted my time, there's nothing new there. My as objective as possible take is that neither comes across well. Without getting into the arguments and what was said specifically, Shmuley is not under control at all and it's not a good look, while Candace was fairly composed, but at the same time, Shmuley is able to splice in some humor and not take things too seriously whereas Candace is full on resting bitch face ice queen. I do feel like it's a net win for Team Jew that this debate continues to recur because Shmuley is clearly a caricature and it degrades Candace that he is her rival and adversary.

Other than the rehashing of the same Israel/antisemitism points, the Michael Jackson bit was interesting, and it seemed like Candace really had no counter at all once Shmuley brought out the facts about his relationship with Jackson and debunked the notion that he tried to kill him. It was also a positive that Candace was forced into publicly admitting that the holocaust happened while she attempted to walk back some of her more wild statements about it.

I'm actually very glad she went there, it paints her as more of an extremist, she even triggered RFK into a Twitter rebuke which more clearly paints the line between MAGA/Trump's faction and Candace. It works out well, she needs to continue citing the Rebbe and random talmudic verses with the Tate's.


By the same token I'm very happy for her to continue "defeating" Shmuley (99.9% of the what either said was just rehashed from before), no one changes their mind on any issue but she becomes more of a sideshow. It's kind of hard to believe that just a few months ago it seemed she would get to debate Ben Shapiro but she has been demoted to the kids table lol
