Your kids don’t watch Bluey? You have a daughter or something, right?

Edit: yes Bluey is technically bitch-made now that I think about it. Her mom Chilli is a female dog.

I have three daughters, but only one in that age range, and no she doesn't watch.

I'm surprised a nine year old likes it, but maybe I haven't seen enough of it to understand why.

The dad Bandit is a bit of a try hard and makes me feel like a shitty dad by comparison.

You’ve been warned.

If you don't know how to be a good parent just watch Bluey. But I feel the same...he's a fun dad and that's not really my typical style with my son. I'm not a person who is in fun mode a lot.

My latest parental misadventure was letting my nephew stay up until 1 in the morning playing Diablo 2 when he and his sister stayed the night.

He saw me playing and asked a million questions. Played with my ultra-strong characters on easy mode for a bit. Then I asked him if he wanted a challenge by playing the game as his own character. He got excited and said yes. Actually did the first quest (barely). Got killed on the second one, and started to cry.

I kept telling him as a Sorceress he shouldn't be running up to demons and hitting them with a staff. He told me understood, but proceeded to do it anyway, at least after he ran out of mana for spells.

Then I saw the recommended ages on Diablo 2: ages 12 and up. He's only six. Not much sympathy at my end though. Get good nephew.

I’ll play dolls with my youngest sometimes, and I watch a lotta movies with my oldest… but Bandit makes me feel like a lazy bastard by comparison lol

Be honest… you just didn’t want him fucking up your stats, huh? Or whatever Diablo uses… I’ve never played it before.

If you die with your character on softcore mode you lose the money on your person and some experience, which can brutal to get back at higher levels (maybe a few weeks of casual playing at levels 85-90 or so....my saved characters are all 86-91 at the moment).

He would have died instantly in hell. But it's almost impossible to die on normal/easy mode with an ultra high level character.

The closest he came was standing in a fire for like 20 seconds without moving. "Oh I'm losing health"....yes standing directly in the middle of a fire harms you....pay attention.

He also had an insane obsession with collecting shitty items and stuffing them in storage.

Diablo 2 is a great game but what turned me off is how hard it is to get high rune drops.

Yes. I've had everything except Zod and Ohm drop for me in solo-self found, but the ultra high level runes have basically only dropped once (I think Sur has dropped maybe 3x). I'm definitely not a min-max autismo like some of the community, but I think I'm like 90 percent of the way there. My fist-of-the-heavens Paladin completely melts Chaos and is at MF = 300 at pretty fast kill speed.

IIRC, the drop rate for Zod is like one in two or three million, or something absurd.

I've gotten more of what I needed through incremental trading of uniques and perfect gems, at least for runes.

My wife and son have it on in the other room as we speak.

He doesn't "watch" it, but he likes the theme song.
