Hard to compliment Pittsburgh, but it is a nice stadium.
It's a shame those peasant wannabe Pennsylvanians probably don't ever fill it.

Dunno if you're in or near Philly but the Phils & Eagles used to play in a weird shaped for baseball stadium called the Baker Bowl. N Broad & 15th I think was the location maybe there's a marker there now?PhutureDynasty wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2024 9:34 pm Hard to compliment Pittsburgh, but it is a nice stadium.

The worst stadium to watch a game ever was Olympic Stadium in Montreal. I have an Abe story that is too long to share.
But yeah, that looks like a really sweet place to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon.

What was that tower over the dome part? Was it holding the roof up? Could you go in it?_Vcsgrizzfan_ wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2024 9:42 pm The worst stadium to watch a game ever was Olympic Stadium in Montreal. I have an Abe story that is too long to share.

It was originally designed to make the roof retractable. But it never worked. It was a permanent roof and the tower, just an additional eyesore.Havlicekstealsit wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2024 9:45 pmWhat was that tower over the dome part? Was it holding the roof up? The worst part, by far though, was the slow Incline in seating as you went back in the stadium. By the 20th row, you had horrible seats. They would be equivalent to being middle second deck in any semi- intelligently designed stadium.
Baseball might not have survived in Montreal, even with a good downtown stadium, but a freaking shithole stadium in the middle of nowhere sealed the deal.

Pittsburgh’s a pretty cool town. Saw a series there a few years back. It is indeed a beautiful backdrop.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

The old Met was brutal. The Metrodome sucked._Vcsgrizzfan_ wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2024 9:42 pm The worst stadium to watch a game ever was Olympic Stadium in Montreal. I have an Abe story that is too long to share.
