Free throws are boring asf tbh
I wouldn’t eliminate them, but why do they need 2? Just make it 1 shot for 2 points. That would cut the free throw time in half right there

Dean Smith (IIRC) had a unique way of keep scoring of scrimmage games at UNC.
They scored not based on whether or not the shot went in, but the quality of the shot.
Great shot quality = 2 pts
"Okay but might have been better" quality = 1 point
Bad shot = 0 pts
