Jeter needs a SEVEN-PART Espn doc?

ESPN Films’ latest documentary series The Captain will debut July 18 following the MLB All Star Home Run Derby. Directed by Emmy-winner Randy Wilkins (“86-32,” “Docket 32357,” “Dear…”), the seven-episode series provides an extraordinary portrait of the Yankee captain’s life and career on and off the baseball field.

As long as one episode is dedicated to him being one of the least valuable defensive shortstops in history, I’m cool with it.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

ESPN is an east-coast company and has always shilled for east-coast teams, especially NY teams.

It reminds me of when the sports media were absolutely flummoxed by the fact that no one in the rest of the country gave a crap about the WS between the Yankees and Mets.

Is he really that exciting of a person/personality? Sure he banged many of the “who’s who” in the industry... but this guy would never make my golfing foursome. Probably drinks Trulys too.

We’ve been forcefed Jeter for decades. I’m callin him out.

This is honestly a joke. Jeter was the most boring quote in the history of star athletes, and he was controversy-free besides. The only times he made the news outside of his play was when George gave him a hard time for partying late and when people found out he gives his sluts gift baskets.

Even Derek must realize there isn't enough content here for 2 episodes, let alone 7, does he need his ego tickled that badly?

Jeter is the most forgettable “superstar” of all time.

I’d maybe put a 30 minute special on for background noise. 7 part documentary? Nah, fuck that.
