Anyone else with living parents keeping their thermostat at...

Post by Havlicekstealsit »

...like 76 &$^$%# degrees? Visiting my father for a couple weeks and holy fucksauce it's roasting in here. I turned the AC on to maybe 5/10 because it's 80 inside and 90 outside today. It's still maybe 74 in the apartment and he's already got a fleece jacket on.

My parents keep it hot as fuck all the time in their home (72+).

I like to keep upstairs/downstairs at 67-68 year round. Easy to feel how much hotter it is when I visit my parents.

Preach brother.

My folks live in Phoenix and keep their thermostat set at 78. It's miserable. We buy an oscillating fan when we visit for the room we stay in. Mom gives it away as soon as we leave, so we have to get one every time. Sigh.

My home right now is currently 76. I will turn it down to 72 at bedtime. I also have a high velocity floor fan.

That's so silly. Is this what's gonna happen to us at their age? I love summertime but not with the same damn temps inside please no thank you.

Surprised there's not much dust/asbestos particles on those blades.
