You seem very angry...

Please describe the term weaker.
the 90s NBA was weaker than any other decade you can name

just take a look at yourself in the mirror kiddo, then you will understand.

Riley, you are a fucking idiot. Really you are. Kobe started with a hall of fame Shaq. LeBron left a 60 win team because he choked and no longer wanted to be the man.
interesting

It was greater than the 70s... but as far as whole decades go... 90s was the 2nd weakest if we're not counting the 50s

Jordan played in the 80's and the 2000's and he couldn't win.

MJ is an all time great, but he just couldn't hack in a real decade like the 80's.

What great great competition did Kobe face? The Lakers were far and away the best team in the league when he was winning titles.

Competition is none
I remain at the top like the sun
And I burn whoever come in the chambers of torture I caught ya
You should have brought ya
Neighborhood to support ya
No one in my path can withstand
Under pressure the wrath of a swift man
You name the day, the grounds could be neutral
Speak your piece, the feeling's mutual
We can go topic from topic whenever I drop it
Try to stop it
In other words, what the brother heard
He tried to catch it, but what occurred
Was too much weight for one brain to take
Try to concentrate maintain then elevate
From gram to ounce from pound to pound
The matter of weight can't hold my mind down
Permanent damage, I do away with
No time for fun, cause I don't play with competitors
It's only one when I'm done
Competition is none

I guess pussy boy LeBron was unable to handle the decade of the 2000's.. And then the pussy LeBron left a 60 win team. Joined a couple all stars. One a finals MVP. Then he chokes his chicken in the 2011 finals.
Who cares? Miami now has 3 championships.
And yet that's still 1/2 of what Jordan owns. Lol

Three-peat Lakers did have some good competition. Can't really speak too highly on his last 2 rings.

At least MJ had the balls to stay with the Bulls when he was getting his fucking ass whooped by the Pistons. He did not run with his tail between his legs like the Gutless Runaway Choking Coward. AKA LeBron James did.

He had no choice, there was no free agency.

He could have left. He chose to stay and play hard every game.

LeBron chose to leave and push responsibility on others. Finally he grew up, owned that shit and has worked hard to be a champion.

Just a terribly ignorant statement... especially since you weren't even alive during the 90's.

Excellent point... LeEasyWayOut IS a coward (like many of his fans).

The thing about Jordan and the 80s, is that there were more talented squads back then than there were in the 90s for sure, a few super teams.

For MJ personally though, I think it was particularly tough to contend in the very late 80s and early 90s as well. His team did get better as Pippen and Grant developed and the great teams of the 80s died down, but the Pistons brought zone defense into the league. The Lakers under Dunleavy and the Cavs would follow suit. Miami, Seattle, and the Riley Knicks also had good schemes. MJ wouldn't have won six championships in the 80s, but I think the driving, attacking Jordan would've done pretty well (though another team might've come up with "The Jordan Rules" sooner).

I thought OP was only counting the years where Kobe was the best player on his team?
