I think Shaq gets a little too romanticized and shouldn't be top 10, much less ahead of Kareem or Russell.

Russell shouldn't be on anyone's top 10.

kobe had more 50 and 60 point games over a 4 game stretch than bird had in his entire career
Kobe Bryant 2010 Finals MVP ( 29ppg/8rpg/4apg/2spg ) higher EFG% than Jordan 96 and 98 finals

Very, very easily. And well deserved.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

This isn’t “top 10 peaks of All Time”. Bird is in the Hakeem category of borderline top 10/out of the top 10 in terms of careers.

Bird's peak was his entire career.

Rookie season:
21 / 10 / 5
47% / 41% / 84%

Final season:
20 / 10 / 7
47% / 41% / 93%

Shaq's top 10 material for sure. He definitely doesn't have a case over Kareem or Russell.

my top 10 has always been the same.

modern day titles with pre merger rings counting as half. tie breakers go to whoever won more league mvps. after that who has more finals mvps. after that who has more all nba and defensive teams combined. lockouts also count as half. must have won league mvp and finals mvp at least once to be in the discussion with an exception for obvious finals mvps before the awards inception

#1 Jordan - 6
#2 Kareem - 5.5 ( more mvps )
#3 Russell - 5.5
#4 Magic - 5 ( more mvps )
#5 Kobe - 5
#6 Duncan - 4.5
#7 Shaq - 4
#8 Bird - 3
#9 Lebron - 2.5
#10 Hakeem - 2 ( more all nba and defensive selections )
#11 Durant - 2
#12 Wilt - 1
Kobe Bryant 2010 Finals MVP ( 29ppg/8rpg/4apg/2spg ) higher EFG% than Jordan 96 and 98 finals
