Not having core principles and standards for friendship for friendship isn't a good thing.

In fact, it demonstrates a very pathetic need to be liked.

If there are 100 men in a room, I'd probably have a shot at being meaningful friends with maybe 10 of them, fun acquaintances with maybe 20 more, indifferent/neutral to maybe 50-60, and overtly disliking 10-20 or so.
