You’re never really ready until it happens, if that makes sense. I mean you can be financially secure, emotionally mature, responsible, etc., but it can still be a bit of a reality check. Suddenly things as simple as going out to dinner on a whim can become a chore if your kid is a hell raiser. You have to sacrifice quite a bit of your freedom, but IMO it’s worth it.

And to answer your question I do think you’re a good guy with a good head on his shoulders, so I’m sure you’ll do a fine job.
