Or much basketball at all based on your hot takes earlier in the thread. Thinking LaVine is worth anything is a classic great sign of an extreme casual fan.

ERMERGERD LOOK AT THEM DUNKS, HE’S A SUPERSTAR!

“Two seasons of Butler was worth giving up a top 10 pick in a loaded draft, LaVine, and Dunn.”

Yes. We should definitely judge all decisions in hindsight and before stories completely play out.

You’d make a great GM.

You guys decided you’d “win now” with this guy as your centerpiece:

I don’t think it’s necessary to use hindsight to slam that idea, friend.

He’s one of the best two way players in the game and had a past relationship with Thibs. As other more competent people have noted, this was a key reason in the Wolves breaking the longest playoff drought in major sports. I’d do that move over 10/10 times. If he isn’t happy with the lack of effort or development of our other “stars” that’s his choice, and on management (Taylor) for enabling Wiggins and giving him such a huge deal a year before necessary.

In return for the #7 pick... the Wolves got the #16 pick.

That being said... the move there, Justin Patton, looks pretty terrible right now. He's been injured multiple times and hasn't looked like an NBA player when he was on the court. But that's the player part... not the pick itself.

Kyle Kuzma

So the goal was to make the PO’s then?

Sadly... after 13 years of futility and not coming close to making the playoffs... sorta.

Remember, this is the NBA's worst franchise (or 2nd worst, apologies to the Clippers) of ALL TIME.

Oh Jimmy, I love your work ethic but damn that attitude is wack. Funny how his destinations are the biggest markets. You want respect and fame yet show none of it yourself. I get it, you were homeless and had literally nothing then made a name all for yourself. But you aren't going anywhere in this league shittin on players / teams like that. You've become what you despise but to each their own I suppose

So... Butler waits and waits and waits until right before the season... makes Thibodeau go to him in California... just to say "Trade me now!"

T'Wolves went 37-22 with Butler on the floor, 10-13 withOut him.

The genius who made the video is an idiot... and so is the OP for believing him.
