If you already have a #1 and #2 option at other positions, who is the ideal role-player center?

Talk about anything here.

Tyson Chandler fit this role perfectly in 2011.

Hakeem

Why? DEFENSE!!!!!

If you already have 2 Superstar players, what you want from your Center is Defense. That is Hakeem. Plus he's a great Teammate.

Big Ben

Arguably the GOAT defender and doesn’t even need touches on offense.

Ben is a good choice, but wasn't he useless on offense?

In his prime he was good for about 10ppg. Not great but not terrible.

In today's "Collude" NBA, it's allowed.

I'll take a broken-down role-player production version of KG.

Perhaps something in-between his last season in Boston and his first season outside Boston.

Can score, rebound, defend, and run the floor well for a 7'1" dude.

I'd go with Bill Russell... throughout his career he accounted for only 10-13% of his team's FGA, so he was clearly a role-player on Offense.
"Today's NBA is soft, the Defense is weak, and the rules 'really' favor the Offense."

"Lebron doesn’t guard for a full game and our game plan was to get him to play defense and he left me open all game."
