Eff Walmart.
I agree....I hate Wal-Mart. But I love Sam's. Different shopping experience altogether.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

There is an Aldi's right up the street. Is it worth going there for normal grocery shopping? I go to the wholesale clubs for meat mostly for food. I buy bulk and individual freeze it for the month.

You have very limited selection. Like their brand only but. It is worth checking out. As far as the meat, don't bother. Canned veggies and eggs. Cheese is good. Produce is not bad either. At least for the money.

That's pretty much it other than the local Mexican markets. When I was in Missouri, Gerbes (Kroger's), HyVee and Aldi's were our three favorite spots. I hate Walmart.

About 4 miles away I have this Mexican place called Fiesta. They were advertising top sirloin for 3 bucks a pound. I went in and the steak was in my opinion unfit. Thin cut. So I left. The store manager asked me what was wrong. I told him the steak was to thin. He took me to the meat cutter and told him what I wanted. I got a couple of packages of one in cut steak. Some of the best I have eaten. On sale now. Will buy more.

That hurts. :sadbron:

There are 2 Fiestas in Austin. It was my favorite spot to shop when we lived there.

Costco has higher quality, relatively speaking.

But as noted, the early hours reserved only for plus/business members more than makes up the difference.
