Classic nba playoff games you still have on VHS?

Post by Ghostown42 »

For me:

1986 Rockets vs. Lakers game 5

1988 Lakers vs. Pistons game 7

1991 Bulls vs. Lakers game 2

1992 Bulls vs. Blazers games 1, 2, 3 and 6

1993 Bulls vs. Suns games 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6

1994 Rockets vs. Knicks games 1 and 6

1995 Rockets vs. Magic game 1 and 4

1996 Bulls vs. Sonics games 1, 3, and 6

1997 Bulls vs. Jazz games 1, 5, and 6

1998 Bulls vs. Jazz games 1, 2, 3, and 6

2004 Pistons vs. Lakers game 5

2005 Pistons vs. Spurs game 7

That's pretty much it. My dad recorded the 80s and early 90s games (I was just a tot back then), but I still have the tapes.

Not a NBA game, but the first thing I recorded on VHS was Marbury's very first game at Ga Tech. And naturally since he was so hyped back then as a HSer, it was a primetime ESPN game with Dickie V on the mic.

Probably. Lakers were done before the game even started.

Yeah mentally they fell apart when Reed came out for the shoot around and they said West had both wrists hurt in the game which affected his handling some and allowed Frazier to get all those steals. Kind of odd because in the 72 finals the Lakers beat the Knicks in 5 games with Wilt having both wrists hurting in that finals and/or game.

But off of the top head, I have:

Complete set of these Finals:

1995-98

I have some games from these Finals:

1985

1988

Then I have:

1986 WCF game 5

1986 Bulls Celtics game 2

1990 Finals game 5

1993 WCF game 7

1987 WCF Games games 1,2

1988 ECF 1,6

1998 First round Bulls/Nets 1,2

1989 Bulls Cavs Game 5

1989 Knicks Bulls game 6

1994 WCF game 3, 7

1995 WCF game 7

Complete set of:

1987, 1989-1991, 1993, 1996, 1997 ECF

Some of these overlap but I have the compete Bulls playoff run of: 1991, 1996, 1997

My dad still has most of the old Celtics games on VHS.

The best one that I saw live and in real-time was game 5 of the first round....Bird vs.Person. Amazing game, and probably the last example of Larry Legend being Larry Legend on the big stage.
Taking a break from the board. Please reference my last post for more details if you are interested.

Chuck Person played so absurdly over his head in that series it was sickening.

The idea of him overthrowing Bird (injured or not, old or not) is offensive. lulz

Indeed. Chuck never did anything else after that but act a fool in Minnesota and warm the bench in San Antonio.
