Re: Gaymond Green wants a Supermax deal

I think they go for the 3-peat and then one of the 4 leaves.

Re: Boston Celtics will draft Mo Bamba

Grizz - Would you take the #7 pick and the #22 pick for the #4 pick and Chandler Parsons salary dump (you'd probably get someone like Lopez back who only has 1 year left for $12 million as compared to Parsons who has 2)? Personally, I wouldn't, but that and 50 cents used to buy you a cup of coffee....

The Grizzlies and Hawks need to take Bagley and JJJ so the Mavs can take Bamba then Young to Orlando with MPJ sliding to the Bulls

Re: Finally cutting the cord

I have Playstation Vue as well. I put in the Salt Lake City zip code and it looks like they added the local channels as well now. Also you get HGTV with this too (no food network though) https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/channels/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;...

Re: Did you ask your wife's pops for "permission" to propose?

Had the same issue as you where her parents are out of state and I hardly see them in person. I called them over the phone and asked them and let them know apologies in advance that it wasn't in person. I don't think many parents care now a days but its something they'll definitely look back at and ...

Re: NBAReport: Pistons agree to 5-year deal with head coach Dwane Casey

The MO on Casey is he's a transformative coach who can help young players reach that next step, similar to Jason Kidd. Looking at the Pistons roster, I don't think this is the current issue but perhaps he can get them to play collaboratively and get a 4-5 seed in a couple years.

MJ still the record holder for total points in a season's playoffs at 759

Entering game 4, LeBron actually needed only 34 more points in these playoffs to pass Jordan for the most points scored in a season’s playoffs at 759. Not only did he get swept which prevented further games, but they were getting beat so bad Lue benched him with 4 minutes left and only at 23 points ...

Re: Reverse sexism in hiring

This isn't an issue of sexism in hiring as much as a preference. This happens ALL the time in hiring. Often a boss will work with someone they just loved so in replacing them, they don't look for the person that can do the job the best but rather someone that is like the person that just left. If t...

Reverse sexism in hiring

I'm looking for a new job and had an interview the other day. The Company was great and it was a position I felt I was a strong fit for. Only issue was that there was no direct management in which I've been a direct manager for little over 1.5 years. So it could be seen as a slight step backwards, a...

Re: Did switching used to be this prevalent in the NBA

No. Not at all. The NBA evolves... or more accurately in this case... devolves. In an ironic twist, as the game goes smaller and guys shoot further away... iso ball returns. It's all about matchups. Makes comparing guys from disparate eras even more difficult now. We have a guy like James backing d...

Re: Did switching used to be this prevalent in the NBA

I don’t understand why the Warriors have been letting everyone(especially Harden and LeBron) take advantage of Steph on the switch. They don’t even try to fight through regardless of how good/shitty the screen is. It’s just always an automatic switch. My point exactly. I suppose the answer is that ...

Did switching used to be this prevalent in the NBA

Seems like almost every offensive possession, a team is setting a screen to get the mismatch on defense with the opposing team switching on the screen instead of fighting through.

Was it always this prevalent to simply switch on the screen instead of fighting through?

They'd have to trade for PG before 6/30/18 for it to work and PG would have to opt in.

Thats a lot of ifs

'Solo' Will Lose $50M-Plus in First Defeat for Disney's 'Star Wars' Empire

Solo, directed by Ron Howard, isn't likely to gross much more than $400 million globally against a budget of at least $250 million and a major multimillion-dollar marketing spend. The movie lost major altitude in its second weekend of play to finish Sunday with a domestic total of $148.9 million an...
