I watched the 90s.
Loved it. But it's very inferior to today's product.
It's not hard to acknowledge.

Re: Grizz, Hockey question.
In your opinion who would have gotten the better benefit from the removal of the two line pass. Orr or Gretzgy? Good question. My gut insinct is Gretzky because he already tended to float near center ice, especially in the back half of his career, so he would have had that many more breaks. Orr was...

Re: Bob Cousy highlights... WOW, what a Passer!!!
Chuck Cooper is in the HOF as a player with 0 Championships and a career line of 7/6/2/39%. In fact there's a bunch of non-Celtics players from Russell's era who are in the HOF with stats/production that are comparable to KC Jones (ie; Cooper, Tom Gola, Slater Martin, Al Cervi, Bob Houbregs, Dick M...

Re: 90's basketball was hilarious. MJ would be a scrub today
Agreed that Jordan's stats in the 80's / 90's wouldn't stand out today; however we must keep in mind that MJ's stats were ccumulated in a era where teams actually played MUCH tougher / more physical Defense than they do today, which means, of course, that MJ's numbers today would be much better tha...

Re: Bob Cousy highlights... WOW, what a Passer!!!
No, Russell CREATED a bunch of Hall of Famers thanks to all the titles. The Lakers could have had 6-8 HOFer's on their squad too, if the Celtics didn't keep handing them their asses every season in the Finals. But they didn't. West and Baylor weren't good enough. Hell, even with Wilt they were bare...

Re: 90's basketball was hilarious. MJ would be a scrub today
Im being 100% truthful. Kyrie Irving/Donovan Mitchell type players right now are better than MJ. If MJ played in today's era he would be something like a Jimmy Butler with slightly worse defense. I think he'd be better than that...at least more consistent than those guys, but he wouldn't stand out ...

Re: Haslem says Bosh was more important than Lebron
I'll buy title contention, but not title. But by that argument, the first year the Bulls played without MJ after the first 3 peat, they were a damn good team. A contender of sorts. And that wasn't with a top SG replacing MJ. That was with Pete 'freaking" Myers. Myers gave them a whopping 8 poi...

Re: Haslem says Bosh was more important than Lebron
You could have added a reasonable SF of the era (like Luol Deng) to the Wade/Bosh pairing and rolled to a title, or at least title contention. I'll buy title contention, but not title. But by that argument, the first year the Bulls played without MJ after the first 3 peat, they were a damn good tea...

Re: Haslem says Bosh was more important than Lebron
Few players frustrated me more. Sooooo overrated. Decent stats on a crappy team. When things got tight near the end of games and he got double teamed occasionally, he couldn't score and he couldn't pass out of it. He epitomized empty stats.

Re: Haslem says Bosh was more important than Lebron
Good old TDK being a data selective moron once again. First off, on more than a few occasions, he condemned LeBron for not winning with Shaq, when Shaq truly was old and fat. He was 37 and had zero ability to guard the pick and roll or run the floor anymore, but that never stopped you from suggestin...
