Jumping on the thunder/wolves bandwagon now that they are winning. Any players from Purdue on either team? LOL.

Re: Rudy Gobert wins his 4th DPOY award

Madness posted a video of people afraid to take what seems like open layups when Wemby is near. I do not think an advanced defensive metric can track things like that. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong, Bush. That type of interaction should eventually roll up into productive +/- data, since the...

Re: Havlicek steals it

I believe Russell hit a guide wire that was holding up the basket on the previous play, leading to what was at the time an automatic turnover. The funny thing is that the opposing coach and maybe even ref (IIRC) wanted to change the rule about an automatic turnover if it hit the wire before the game...

Oh, you mean exactly how the magic played the cavs the 3 games they won? Magic would have been the far better matchup. And magic beat the cavs without having to play great as well Keep bandwagoning faggot I've been a Celtics fan since Larry Bird's end-of-career, and a Wolves/Thunder fan since early...

TDK literally using Malone's most efficient year he ever had to "prove a point".....while picking Giannis' 6th most efficient year to compare it to. That's his "EXACT", "FACTUAL" data. I started the comparison. But the only point was to illustrate how quantity of...

Re: Isiah Thomas STILL has his foot on Jordone’s neck

And he 100 percent would have done the same thing to Larry Bird, if he had the leverage. Jordan resented going 1-3 against his chief rival in the playoffs, and deep down hated Bird for humiliating him 0-2 (0-6 in games) earlier in his career. 1-5 in the playoffs against his main playoff rivals. &quo...

1990: FTs: 76.4 2s: 48.8 3s: 33.1 3pt rate: 7.6 2023: FTs: 78.2 2s: 54.8 3s: 36.1 3pt rate: 38.7 The FG percentages being the same (47.6 vs. 47.5) reflects nothing more than more three-pointers being added to the denominator of FG percentage in 2024. That's literally it. You can have every single co...

Artman, do you see the difference between a real elite team and a mediocre one?

Celtics waxed them by 25, and didn't even play that well for about half the game.

Re: I hear this Anthony Edwards kid is a lot like Jordan...

He wasn't a little more efficient, he was a lot more efficient, in a way that is completely muted by looking at strict FG percentage or even strict TS. The *nature* of efficiency was also different than what you implied (Giannis is actually better than Malone in dumb 2pt percentage, but is so bad on...

Re: Any playoff surprises yet.

Indeed, one of the things that sometimes get passed over is that raw, box score statlines that would have been seen as God-like, or at least super-exceptional in 1991 are seen as a "yeah that's nice I guess" shoulder shrug in 2024. 26/8/7 on 54 percent shooting is a borderline top 10 box s...

Re: I hear this Anthony Edwards kid is a lot like Jordan...

For basketball, X number of shots take in X minutes often connotes something different than the same quantity of shots taken in a more compressed period of time. Generally, the more shots taken in the same period of time (all else equal), the lower will be the quality of shot, etc... If Malone had p...

We're discussing Rebounds professor... not Points. Ah, okay. Number of possessions influences the number of rebounding chances you get, and not the number of scoring chances you get. I can tell you are calm and thoughtful. Good work. In the Giannis vs. Malone example, the point wasn't if one was be...

Leoss, if you are interested in getting diabetes, I recommend the cookie dough brownie from Little Caesars

You will absolutely die from diabetes, but it's not a bad way to go out, because it's delicious.

Re: 450 or 348... which is the "larger" number?

International players were vastly inferior to NBA players in the 90's No shit? It's almost like when the talent POOL of players expands by stupefying degrees, you can add more players without decreasing quality compared to earlier eras. The expansion of the 90s added a bunch of new teams, with mayb...
