Re: Where Would John Stockton (at his best) Rank as a PG Today?
Nash's teams offensive rating in and around his prime: 2002: 1 2003: 1 2004: 1 2005: 1 2006: 2 2007: 1 2008: 2 2009: 2 2010: 1 That is basically exactly what Magic did with the Lakers during the 1980s and 1990 (minus his partial season in 1981). Stockton? 1989: 17 1990: 10 1991: 11 1992: 4 1993: 7 I...

Re: Where Would John Stockton (at his best) Rank as a PG Today?
Why wouldn’t he be similar to Steve Nash, but with better defense? Or are we saying Nash wouldn’t do well in today’s game too? Nash and Stockton are not particularly equivalent as *creators* as opposed to "people who register an assist". In terms of style, effect, magnitude, etc... Go ahe...

Re: Where Would John Stockton (at his best) Rank as a PG Today?
Stockton peaked at 23 points per 100 possessions during his career, which was 73rd in the league in 1990. In 2024, that spot and the closest spots held by PGs were Coby White, Cole Anthony, and D'Angelo Russell. So basically, guys scoring the upper teens and a guy who would score in the upper or at ...

Re: Derrick Rose is retiring
Bill Russell's TS+ was almost dead-on average for his era.
TS+ is the correct statistic if you want to make cross-era comparisons, not strict TS.
Michael Jordan's TS+ for his Bulls career was 108.
That's roughly where Jimmy Butler has been the last four years or so, on-average.

temper tantrum Why not just look at how they compared when they competed directly against each other, dingus? We don't have to guess at anything. That's why 2011 was so hilarious and why you ran and hide from the board for a month after that series concluded. It popped the delusion bubble that MVP ...

I can't decide if I find her attractive or not.
In some pictures she's actually looked really nice, in others kind of plain.
She's never ugly, but it's usually a bounce between a 5 all the way up to a strong 7.

Re: Derrick Rose is retiring
Rose WAS a badass before the injury, bushy. He literally shot 37 and 35 percent during his BEST year of basketball in the playoffs in two of the three series he played (and only had 45/29/79 shooting splits in the other). That's not even drunk Iverson level. No rings (at any point) 3 playoff series...

Where Would John Stockton (at his best) Rank as a PG Today?
Taken from a recent RealGM topic and slightly adjusted: Say he got drafted by an average team in 2017 (like he did with the Jazz in his era), just kerplunked from 1985 via a time-machine (so no growing up in this era) to 2017. If his career followed the same arc, he would get his first major break a...

Re: Derrick Rose is retiring
D-Rose shot under 40 percent for nearly half the playoff series he played in his career (5/11), and literally half the series he played pre-2013 (3/6). He won three playoff series (as a meaningful player) in a career that spanned from 2009 to 2024. He didn't win shit pre-injury, injured, or post-inj...

Reginald Martinez Jackson. You got a white man’s first name, a Mexican’s middle name and a Black man’s last name. No wonder you’re all fouled up.

Re: Derrick Rose is retiring
Are we really pretending Rose was the best player in 2011? Dude was 9th in PER, played on a team that was +7/100 possessions with him off the court (see below), and shot 35 percent in the most critical playoff series, and like 25 percent when guarded by Lebron. He was probably somewhere in the 5-10t...

Re: hiking is dumb af
Hiking is great. Yes, don't be intrusive on nature, but for a lot of people there is a restorative effect, at least in some ways: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0272494422001293 One of the most documented effects of exposure to nature is physical and psychological restoration.
